Gabal El Asfar Stage II Phase I Wastewater Treatment Plant awarded by the Construction Authority for Potable Water and Wastewater (CAPW), which is located at the North-East of Cairo, in the Qalyubia Governorate. The plant being operated since July 2005, serving the population of 4 million inhabitants. The design to treat average daily flow of 500,000 m3/day up to 650,000 m3/day of secondary, sludge treatment flow from the east bank of the Greater Cairo.
