ICAT being the Leader of the Consortium ICAT/ACCIONA Agua was awarded by The Construction Authority for Potable Water and Wastewater (CAPW), the Operation & Maintenance contract of New Cairo Raw Water Intake, Boosters, Pumping Stations, Transmission Lines and Water Treatment Plant, which is considered the largest in the Middle East.

The scheme has a capacity of 500,000 m3/day, to be extended up to 2 million m3/day having an approximate total revenues of US$ 40 Million. Supplying drinking water to the New Cairo City and the Administrative New Capital City having a population of 5 million inhabitants.

Services:

• Responsible for operating the scheme 24/7/365 for 9 years.
• Assuring the water quality in accordance with the Egyptian Law and Ministry of Health regulations, Ministry of Environment, O&M contract up to 2028.
