AQUALIA Spain was awarded the design, implementation, operation and maintenance of a Seawater Desalination Plant with a capacity of 150,000 m3/day by The Ministry of Defense, through Water Department of the Armed Forces Armament Authority.

This Project is considered the largest water supply for the North Coast of Egypt, serving around 1,000,000 inhabitants. AQUALIA / ICAT have formed a Consortium with the share of 65%-35%, aiming to achieve a direct long term O&M contract with MOD.
