Abu Rawash Wastewater Treatment Plant

The Egyptian Ministry of Water and Wastewater Utilities represented by the Construction Authority for Potable Water and Wastewater (CAPW) has awarded the EPC contract for Abu Rawash Wastewater Treatment Plant to Orasqualia JV to be built with an allocated budget of USD 320 Million.

The Plant is considered as the largest Wastewater Treatment Plant in West Bank and will have a capacity of 1.6 Million m3/day, comprising primary and secondary treatment which will be serving 8 Million inhabitants.

The O&M will be performed by Orascom Construction/AQUALIA/ICAT JV, whereas ICAT being one of the eligible Egyptian Private Sector Operator, is a partner in the O&M Company.

Services:

  • Participation in the mechanical works, ICAT formed Consortium for local manufacturing having strategic partners also the M&E erection services of the Plant.
  • Operate and maintain the facility for three years’ subject to extension.
