The Electro-Mechanical works of Samanoud WTP are carried out on behalf of NOPWASD (National Organization for Potable Water & Sanitary Drainage) - capacity 500 Lit/second – serving 950,000 inhabitants which will be finalized in eight months instead of 12 months.

The contract comprises supply, erection, testing, commissioning, start-up and putting into operation all mechanical and electrical equipment for the following facilities:

• Raw Water Pumps station and the relevant sump .
• Distribution shaft. - Clarification facilities.
• Filtration plant.
• Chlorination building.
• Chemical house.
• Treated water storage reservoirs.
• Treated water pumping station and the relevant sump.
• Sludge treatment and handling facilities.
• Electrical power supply and switchboard facilities [MV, LV, instrumentation].
• Main and distribution electrical facilities.
• Generating plant facilities.
• Laboratories equipment.
• Workshop machinery and tools.
• Supervisory control system “SCADA & PLC “.
• Ancillary and complementary items.
• Interconnecting pipes and fittings.
  The contract also includes the maintenance of the supplied equipment during the specified guarantee period. ICAT is responsible of all equipment, materials, accessories, and spare parts in order to obtain a complete reliable and operational plant fulfilling its performance parameters according to the Egyptian Code.
